About Anne-marie

My name is Anne-marie Collier and I live in Frampton Cotterell, South Gloucestershire with my two sons Paul (16) and Alex (13). I first became a Music with Mummy agent 10 years ago when Paul started primary school and Alex was starting preschool. Paul was on the autistic spectrum and had been having music therapy for two years. Life was very busy and at times very stressful, but Paul’s love of music meant that the whole family spent most of the time singing and dancing or reading books. I used to do the singing at my local mother and toddler groups as my repertoire of songs was ever expanding to keep Paul entertained. By chance one day I came across an advert looking for Music with Mummy Agents in the Bristol area. I had seen first hand the benefits of music in Paul’s life so decided to apply. From that day on my life changed forever. I was successful with my application and started running just two classes a week. Ten years later I run my classes 4 days a week and have over 200 children coming to my classes. I can honestly say that I love going to work – singing all day and seeing how the Music with Mummy programme can play such a vital role in a young child’s life is incredibly rewarding for me. To see everyone having fun and making music part of their lives is just fantastic.

In September 2005 I had the opportunity to become a Regional Coordinator responsible for franchisees working in Herefordshire, Monmouthshire, Worcestershire, Gloucestershire and part of Warwickshire. As Regional Coordinator I give support and guidance to the ten franchisees in my area and am also responsible for recruiting and training new franchisees.
