Music with Mummy Drummer

Testimonials

I am a mother of four and a childminder and I cannot recommend Anne-Marie Collier?s music sessions highly enough for children pre-school age and younger. I suppose the proof of this is that three have my children have attended various music classes run by Anne-Marie since 2000. Rosie, my youngest, attends Music with Mummy classes and it would not be an understatement if I said it is the highlight of her week and a lot of her conversation is based around the songs and activities we do together in the session. I also take some of my childminded children to three-four time in the afternoon, once a week.

Anne-Marie is extremely good with all the children and the sessions build their confidence, encourage sharing, teach the kids a wide variety of topics while having lots of fun. The scheme of Jolly Babies, Music with Mummy and 3-4 time is fantastic and incredibly well-thought out but Anne-Marie brings it all to life and the children absolutely adore her!

I brought my son Alex to Anne-marie as a baby to Jolly Babies. He progressed to Music with Mummy then Three-Four Time. The classes are always fantastic and educational. My daughter Natasha now comes to Three-Four Time and really enjoys the classes too.

Anne-marie is inspirational !

Our 3 1/2 year old daughter has been attending Anne-Marie's classes since she was 12 weeks old. She has always thoroughly enjoyed Anne-Marie's classes and looks forward to her next session. The holiday specials are excellent and give her another excuse to dress up.
Our son also enjoys Jolly Babies and his confidence has grown since attending.
Anne-Marie has an amazing way of keeping the children captured and interested in what they are doing. It always amazes us how well she keeps the Three-Four Time class in order on her own and how quickly the children learn the songs and stories.
Most activites with our children are mummy dominated and a bit daunting for a man to attend but Matt always feels at ease in Anne-Marie's classes and really enjoys going.

What can I say? If you have a chance go. I have 4 children and they have all been to Music with Mummy. I will be very sad next year when my youngest leaves. We sing the songs at home and they love the various themes. I enjoyed visiting the web site and hearing some of my favourites. I love the mix of old traditional and new songs. The scheme has a fantastic natural progression through the classes and I am constantly amazed what they can actually achieve. As well as gaining a love of music they learn loads of social skills, listening, sharing and waiting, all in a gentle safe environment. Ann Marie is a fabulous teacher, very patient, kind, funny and the kids love her. Her classes are always well organised and prepared with constantly updated instruments and exciting props. She obviously loves her job and this excitement comes through in her classes. Thank you for the music and the many happy memories.

My daughter started in jolly babies when she was six months old.We both had a wonderful time attending Anne-Maries groups once a week she learnt so many great things, made alot of lovely friends and more importantly had great fun which is why we continued going to the groups until starting school. We are now doing very well in piano lessons and I feel that the credit must go to Anne-Marie for installing this love of music. We are now on second time around and still enjoy every lesson.Thankyou Anne-Marie.

As a parent, one of my hopes is that my girls will share my love of music, Anne-marie makes music fun, exciting and totally relevant whatever the age. The girls have learnt skills such as listening and taking turns as well as the basics of music. The themes help teach them about colours, counting and the world around them as well as musical instruments and traditionaly fairy tales. Anne-Marie really goes beyond the call of duty and even organised a 'field trip' to see a youth orchestra play the music the children had been learning about, it was fantastic to see the children enjoying real live music for the first time. More than anything, the girls love the sessions, what more can I say?

Hi, I’m Suzie and I am very proud to say that I am a Music with Mummy agent.

I have been running Music with Mummy classes in Chepstow for 8 months and I hope to be running classes for many years to come. For the last 8 months I have looked forward to going to work as it is the most fun I have ever had whilst working!

It all happened really quickly for me, which is testament to the exceptional training, advice and support that Music with Mummy offers to its franchisees. I enquired in August, trained and observed in September, ran demonstration classes in October and started teaching classes from the beginning of November, and I have not looked back since!

The costs are extremely reasonable both for the training and the monthly franchise fee. All agents are assigned a Regional Coordinator who is their first contact for expert, friendly support and advice.

The songs are catchy and fun and the schemes are beautifully thought out and very enjoyable to deliver.

If you want a fun and rewarding job that involves music and children, why not find out more about Music with Mummy? It could be one of the best things you have ever done!

“Anne-marie”
A poem by Steve Phelps
July 2011

We first met Anne-marie in 2005
Emma, Steve, Aimee and Jolie set off for the drive.

Over to Iron Acton, just 20 minutes away
Six years on, for the final time, we’re set off on our way.

At 5 months old they could barely sit up straight,
Jolly Babies was the class, every Wednesday was the date.

When Emma travelled solo, Anne-marie lent a hand.
Six years on, Aimee and Jolie join the recorder band.

And so we moved on to ‘Music with Mummy’.
A snack en-route means no rumbling tummy!

Sometimes Steve was ‘lone amongst the mums,
enjoying a play with the rattles and drums.

‘Three-Four Time’ the children sit with Anne-marie.
Parents leave the room - finally free!

‘Quavers Club’ their final class with you,
now they’ve enjoyed the sessions,
now we’ll bid you adieu.

Recorders ensure a non-stop shrill,
for us parents, a delightful thrill.

Thank you very much for the wonderful classes,
We’ll leave Aimee and Jolie to raise their glasses!

Dearest Anne-marie
Thank you SO much for all the joy you have brought me and my family over the past 6 years, through your teaching of music, singing, dancing and instrument playing to Islay. I have enjoyed every minute of it and it is going to be very hard to see Islay finish this week. You are a fantastic teacher and I know that Islay has truly loved coming to all your classes an will greatly miss them. I will hold my memories of the fun she has had with you forever and treasure them dearly. I’m just not looking forward to the tears later this week. Thank you for everything. Lots of love Kirstie x
